Specialists in structural steel & temporary works
Steel Welding & Fabrication
Lomas Steel Structures Ltd is the new brand of our well-established steel welding and fabrication company based on our director's 25 years of experience in the industry.
From our humble beginnings as a welding repair service for machinery and buckets, we have built our reputation in the industry through on-site welding, on to custom fabrication, and moved into structural steel and temporary over the past few years works.
The limited company was formed in 2008 and has grown from the ground up to a thriving modern company. After achieving our CE accreditation in January 2015, enabling us to continue to produce high-quality structural steel to the now mandatory European standards, we underwent heavy investment into our workshop and fabrication facilities. We have also recently achieved both SMAS & CHAS accreditation for our Health and Safety Management System..
We are now regarded as one of the foremost steel fabricating companies in Greater London. With this ever-growing reputation, we became increasingly aware that the former name, Lomas Site Welding Ltd, didn’t truly reflect our capabilities. In late 2015, we underwent a rebranding of the company to Lomas Steel Structures Ltd.
We now specialise in structural and architectural steel solutions from design through to final installation and temporary works and facade retention. Still, we have retained the same high-quality team of welders and fabricators with their extensive experience of all aspects of steel fabrication and onsite welding to meet any of your welding requirements.
As a company, we pride ourselves on delivering a high standard of work on time and within budget. We operate with a faultless health and safety track record and, above all else, conduct ourselves in a professional manner on each and every project.
Lomas Steel Structures Ltd conforms with ISO9001:2008 Quality Management System and has achieved CE mark accreditation for structural steel products to the standard BS EN 1090-1: 2009 + A1: 2011 to Exc Class 2.
Connaught House, Guilford
Working on one of our largest projects to date we worked in conjunction with our client and subcontractors to seamlessly extend an existing building 4 floors with a 260 ton frame. The buildings prominent location at the top of Guilford High Street met our team with logistical challenges with short contract lifts to get all materials and equipment onto the roof. The frame was constructed simply and effectively with the use of a spider crane. This project also included the supply and fit of hollow rib decking to all floors with our partners SWUK and modifications throughout the building to existing layouts.
